VCloud Air Network – It was a great experience to attend and listen directly at VMware’s latest VMworld event in San Francisco, and hear how they plan to shake up the cloud market by creating the largest single network integrated with VMware vCloud Air public cloud service providers (http://www.vmware.com/cloud-computing/public-cloud/vCloud-air-network-services/overview). This network spans hundreds of countries and thousands of partners. Compared to other public cloud providers, VMware’s network is 10-20 times larger in scale and has direct reach to more regions.
VCloud Air Network From Indonesian Cloud
IndonesianCloud has been recognized as a founding member of this network. We are actually the only provider in Indonesia recognized by VMware as part of the program, both from a technological and commercial perspective (which means you can pay VMware to use the IndonesianCloud system).
This recognition is quite important for our customers because it means two things:
1) VMware has validated the IndonesianCloud platform and confirmed that it is as good as the “vCloud Air” they offer
2) VMware has validated IndonesianCloud’s commercial risks and confirmed that it is a suitable supplier for VMware. Compared to other local providers, this independent validation provides a very high standard of assurance that the IndonesianCloud platform has been built to the highest (and most necessary) standards, and that as a business, we have strong financial backing.
Contact Indonesian Cloud Directly
To use vCloud Air Network, customers can contact IndonesianCloud directly, or they can also contact a local VMware reseller and purchase “vCloud credits” which can then be used to pay for IndonesianCloud services on a monthly basis.
Even better for customers, being part of this network means that every server deployed on the IndonesianCloud platform is 100% transferable to other vCloud Air Network partners anywhere in the world; customers can easily export and import on demand. This provides great convenience by eliminating any “lock-in” that may apply with other cloud platforms.
Ultimately, as part of the network provider, IndonesianCloud gains access to the latest cloud technology, can share best operational practices, and generally collaborate with other members around the world for greater benefits to the Public Cloud community.
